BUCCELLATI STERLING SILVER FIGURE OF AN EAGLE, 28"
Buccellati, 20th century. Exquisite and large sterling silver figure of a bird of prey perched on naturalistic stump, heavily chased with feathers and with applied small gauge wire mimicking downy feathers, with gilt feet. Markedto back of tailfeather, maker's mark, Italy, 925, and sterling. Provenance: Acquired directly from Buccellati in 2004. Approx. h. 28" (eagle on base), w. 25" (wing span).
