LYLE MODEL 680 L ACOUSTIC GIBSON BIRD GUITAR
A vintage Lyle model 680-L acoustic guitar that caused Gibson to form a lawsuit against Lyle for copyright infringement on the Gibson Hummingbird acoustic. Original bridge has been replaced with a metal bridge. It is missing its original pick guard, possibly because it was made out of turtle shell. Fret board has been subjected to harsh weather conditions causing swelling and shrinking. E.g. some of the frets have some wood extending past them and a piece of the 15th fret inlay is missing with other inlays being seated too deep. The 6th string Low E's nut slot has been slotted far too deep and causes the string to buzz. This guitar could easily be fixed but will take time.
