Condition: This is an original in excellent condition. Rafael is one of the more sought after emerging collectible artists. Rafaels works are exquisite in details and dynamic in form. His subject matters are always well executed. He began his career with a cubist style and then turned to simplified, abstract shapes with hollowed out parts of the bodies, especially where one might expect curves. He is a teacher and pioneering modernist sculptor of abstract human forms. Rafael also created one of the first multi-media sculptures, composing it of wood, glass, and wire. Rafael has experimented continuously with the effects of negative and positive space. His works are exhibited throughout the US and in private collections including, Gene Autry, Eva Longoria, Tiger Woods and many countless celebrities.
