Our July 28th auction event will feature some fabulous lots from Southern Estates. A Magnificent Sterling Silver Francis 1st Piece Tea Service along with multiple lots of Gorham Sterling in the Lily Pattern. There are scarce Japanese Woodblocks from Tokyo, from Paris comes Andy Warhol Wallpaper Screen Prints, a large Shannon Smith of Charleston Oil on Canvas "Coastal Retreat", Eugene Louis Boudin (1824-1898) Original Oil on Panel "Plage a Trouville", Howard Finster and many other lots of fantastic art to be had. There is a Isamu Noguchi Akari Lamp, model 75D, a pendant lamp/light sculpture designed around 1950 and manufactured by Ozeki & Co. Ltd. in Japan. Francis I by Reed & Barton Sterling Silver Tea Set 5 piece with Monumental King Francis Reed & Barton Silver Plate Tray. Excellent like new condition, no monograms.1948 date mark. Coffee Pot 570A holds 34 Ounce, 9.5" - 1228 grams. Tea Pot 570A holds 32 Ounce, 8.35" - 1150 grams. Covered Sugar 570A - 482 grams, 6.5" - 744 grams. Creamer 570A, 5.75". Waste Bowl 4.25" - 458 grams. Large King Francis Tray Silver Plate Tray 30"x22". JUST STERLING approximate weight 4064 grams or 130.66 Troy Ounces. For shipping purposes 20 lbs. Francis I of Angouleme, reigned as the king of France from 1515, when his uncle Louis XII died, until his own death in 1547. His was a reign of splendor, as he commissioned countless Italian Renaissance artist to create splendid works of art for the French monarchy. Inspired by these dazzling works, some three and a half centuries later, a renowned silver designer named Ernest Meyer created a remarkable sterling silver design in the finest renaissance tradition. Reed and Barton Francis I was introduced in 1906
