Lot of 4 Socket Bayonets Including: U.S. M1873, British M1853 and M1876
1.) U.S. M1873 with Scabbard - 16.25" blade. 19.25" overall with socket. Spike bayonet with fluted blade and U.S. marks to ricasso. Includes steel scabbard with leather hanger.
2.) British M1853 - 17" blade. 3" socket. Spike bayonet with fluted blade and British marks to ricasso. Included with item is a leather scabbard with brass fittings and what appears to be a reproduction black leather frog.
3 & 4.) British M1876 with Scabbard - 21.75" blade. 3" socket. Spike bayonet with fluted blade and British marks to ricasso. Includes black leather scabbard with brass fittings.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
Condition
All items are in about fair condition, with scattered pitting, scratching, and oxidation to blades. Scabbards all show wear, losses, and oxidation.
