Steyr Model 1886 Kropatschek Rifle
8mm. 32.3" barrel secured by three barrel bands. SN: DD408. Blued finish, steel furniture, European hardwood stock. Bolt action tubular magazine battle rifle with tangent rear sight, dovetailed blade on base front sight, knife bayonet lug on upper barrel band, cleaning rod on left side of stock, sling swivels and finger rest triggerguard. Receiver marked OE.W.F.G. STYER/1886 and with the {Portuguese Crown} and M.1886. Matching serial numbers on receiver, barrel and stock. Bolt and safety mismatched and numbered D24. Includes an incorrect pattern reproduction leather sling.

Condition
Good as refurbished. Bore dark and moderately pitted with deep rifling. Metal with a refurbished blue finish that is partly intact, with the balance a mottled brownish gray patina. Markings are soft due to refinishing. Mechanically functional action. Stock with moderate wear and numerous scattered bumps, dings and mars.
