**R.F.I. Enfield 7.62mm Rifle 2A1
7.62mm NATO. 25" barrel length. SN: D8742. Suncorite finish. Walnut stock has a plain semi pistol grip and forearm, with handguard. Bolt action rifle with an adjustable tangent notch rear sight and blade front sight with ear protectors. Item features a removable box magazine, double sling swivels, bayonet lug forend, and steel trapdoor buttplate void of contents. Markings include {crown}/RIFLE/7.62mm 2A1/R.F.I./1965 to wrist band. Stock is also marked S{arrow}A inspector mark to right of buttstock, and a white painted 7 to left side. Includes a khaki web sling.

Condition
Good. Bore is bright. Finish possibly buffed at some point as some of the markings appear weakened. Finish also has thinning to Suncorite, with light scattered scratches and some sprinkled pit marks. Stock shows scattered scratches and mars. There is an old repair to toe of stock. Sling shows discoloration and wear.
