.303 British. 25.2" barrel length. SN: M6410. Blued metal finish with polished bolt body set in an oil finished Walnut semi-pistol grip stock with full length upper and lower handguards. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by semi-detachable magazines charged with stripper clips, and featuring a magazine cutoff. Sights consist of an adjustable notch rear leaf and front blade with protectors. Right receiver displays the {Crown/GR} royal cipher followed by L.S.A. Co. I./1916, indicating it was made by the London Small Arms Company in 1916. Model marking reads SHT LE/III. Rifle shows standard British Army firing proof marks on the left receiver with scattered proofs and {Broad Arrow} markings to major components. Serial number match on most major components, but the bolt is nonmatching. Rifle mounts an unmarked khaki canvas sling with brass buckles, and contains a J.J.B. marked and British Army proofed brass oiler in the butt.

Condition
Good. Bore is Frosty with brown patina throughout and crisp rifling. Blued metal finish displays edgewear overall with some brown patinated streaks forming to the blue, and scattered scratches overall. Internal surfaces of the receiver and bolt show a mottled gray patina forming in addition to some oil residues. Wood furniture shows handling wear, dents, and abrasions scattered overall. Sling exhibits some tarnish to brass parts and stains.
