Amberg Mauser Model 1871/1884
11.15x60mmR. 32" barrel length. SN: 72433. Blued metal finish. Walnut stock has a plain straight grip and forearm, with double barrel bands. Bolt action rifle with an adjustable folding ladder notch rear sight and blade front sight. Item features a tube magazine, double sling swivels, a parry hook forend cap, and side mounted bayonet lug. Markings include Imperial German proofs, matching serial numbers to all parts, and Amberg marks to barrel flat. Stock appears to have some obscured cartouche marks. Includes a black leather sling.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
Condition
Very good. Bore is bright. Finish shows some light sprinkled pit marks, light scratches, and light thinning to barrel. Buttplate finish shows oxidation and pitting. Receiver finish has a light brown patina. Wood stock has scattered scratches and mars.
