**Non-Matching DWM Model 1914 Artillery Luger Dated 1917
World War I
9mm Para. 8" barrel. SN: 7505b. Blued metal refinish overall with straw colored and nitre blued small parts mounting checkered walnut grips and featuring the 8" barrel and tangent sights of the artillery model. Short recoil operated toggle action striker fired autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Toggle link displays the DWM marking for Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken, the primary manufacturer of Luger handguns during World War I. Barrel extension date reads 1917. Item shows the World War I Imperial German {Reichsadler} to the right barrel, barrel extension, and on the left breechblock. Item additionally shows {Crown/Gothic Letter} inspection marks on all major components. Majority of the serial numbers match, but the sideplate does not, and the grips are non numbered replacements. Barrel gauge reading of 8,82 struck into the barrel below the serial number. Item shows standard GELADEN mark to left extractor and GESICHERT to the safety. Wood base plug magazine serial number does not match.

Condition
Good as Refinished. Bore is Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Metal refinish shows pathed brown patina on the gripstraps along with scattered scratches and light mars at the edges of the metal parts. Item further displays brown patina forming on the toggle components. Magazine exhibits some pitting on the rear face. Grips show handling wear, some stains, and skips. Right rear corner of the rear sight rails has sheared off.
