**Iver Johnson Hammerless Top Break Large Fame .38 Revolver
.38 S&W. 3.25" barrel. SN: 9159. Blued metal finish overall with color case hardened trigger mounting checkered hardrubber {Owlhead} grips. DAO five-shot hammerless top break revolver featuring automatic ejection and a trigger mounted safety mechanism. Barrel rib displays two-line maker address reading IVER JOHNSON'S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS/FITCHBURG MASS, U.S.A. Front sight blade has been removed, and the serial number to the trigger appears to be force matched to the frame. Three notched scratched into the base of the butt.

Condition
Good. Bore is Frosty with some patches of brown patina and strong rifling. Blued finish ahs worn down overall with some traces remaining on the upper edges of the triggerguard. Metal finish has taken on a mottled gray to brown patina overall. Grips show some light handling wear and mars. Action indexes but occasionally fails to fully lock up. Front sight has been removed.
