**French Model 1886/93 Lebel Rifle
World War I
8x50R. 31.5" barrel. SN: g18900. Blued metal refinish with polished bolt set in walnut straight wrist stock and mounting adjustable rear ladder with front blade sights. Bolt action internal tube magazine fed repeating rifle charged with individual cartridges. Missing magazine follower. Original markings on the receiver are weak due to refinish with left receiver exhibiting a very faint MANUFACTURE D'ARMES/St Etienne followed by MLE 1886 M 93. Right barrel is struck MA S 1916. Serial numbers do not match.

Condition
Good. Bore is Frosty with strong rifling throughout. Blued refinish fading to brown patina overall with scattered light pitting along the barrel and receiver. Receiver shows some additional indentations and mars on the right receiver. Interior receiver and interior surfaces of the bolt retain a strong polish. Stock shows rounded edges with handling wear, mars, and dings. Forend has been repaired in three places along the left rear edge with the wood glue beginning to separate.
