**Chilean Contract Steyr Model 1912/61 Mauser
7.62x51mm NATO. 24" barrel length. SN: A9863. Blued metal finish. Semi pistol grip walnut stock with handguard. Bolt action rifle with a straight handle, adjustable tangent notch rear sight, and blade front sight. Item features an internal magazine, double sling swivels, and a bayonet lug forend. Markings include Chilean crest/MODELO 1912-61/NATO to receiver, Austrian Steyr manufacturer marks, various proofs, and CAI importer marks. Stock is marked with a Chilean crest and serial number on left side. Includes a brown leather sling.

Condition
Good. Bore is bright, with scattered pitting toward muzzle. Finish has mostly worn away and has scattered pit marks and scratches overall. Buttplate shows heavy wear and pit marks. Wood stock shows scattered scratches, mars, and losses.
