**French Model 1907 Berthier Rifle by Chatellerault
World War I
8x50R. 32.3" barrel. SN: A19416. Blued finish, steel furniture, walnut stock. Bolt action repeating rifle with clip fed 3-round magazine, military ladder rear sight, front sight blade, stacking lug and sling swivels. Standard arsenal markings, produced in 1915. Matching serial numbers throughout. No import marks noted. Includes a leather sling.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
Condition
Good. Bore good, moderately oxidized with with good rifling. Metal with much of the arsenal blue intact on the barrel and receiver. Markings remain clear and legible. Mechanically functional action. Stock duffle cut behind the rear barrel band with a dowel for alignment and previously glued together; now separated. Otherwise wood with scattered bumps, dings and mars.
