**1944 Dated Long Branch Enfield No 4 MK I Rifle
World War II
.303 British. 25.2" barrel length. SN: 80L8234. Black Suncorite metal finish overall set in walnut semi-pistol grip stock mounting MK III marked adjustable ladder rear notch and front blade sights with protectors. Bolt-action semi-detachable magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips and mounting zinc/zamak buttplate. Left receiver shows NO 4 MK I* model marking above LONG BRANCH factory mark and a date of 1944. Item shows scattered inspection markings with matching serial number on the bolt. Comes with {Broad Arrow} marked khaki canvas sling. Item is importer marked on the muzzle.

Condition
Good. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Item shows some oil residue and varnish overall with signs of flaking to suncorite finish and internal cycling wear. Finish displays scratches, mars, and abrasions overall. Stock shows handling dents and mars, along with some scratches and a pattern of gouges along the toe.
