Lithgow No.1 Mk III* SMLE Rifle Dated 1944
World War II
.303 British. 25" barrel length. SN: 4108. Grey/green metal appearance with remnants of Suncorite black finish. Walnut stock has a plain semi pistol grip and forearm, with handguard. Bolt action rifle with an adjustable tangent notch rear sight and blade front sight with ear protectors. Item features a removable magazine, double sling swivels, bayonet lug forend, and a brass trapdoor buttplate void of contents. Markings include MA/LITHGOW/S.M.L.E./III*/1944 to wrist band. Stock is marked 1944/III* HV on left side of butt. Includes WWII-era web khaki sling.

Condition
Good. Bore is frosty. Suncorite finish has flaked away and metal has a grey/green appearance, with scattered scratches and light sprinkled pitting. Stock has scratches and mars overall. Sling has discoloration and wear.
