**Mexican FN Mauser Model 1924 Short Rifle
7x57mm Mauser. 23.5" barrel length. SN: 14555. Blued military finish. Walnut stock has a plain round knob semi pistol grip and forearm, with single barrel band and handguard. Bolt action rifle with an adjustable tangent notch rear sight and blade front sight. Item features an internal magazine, bayonet lug forend, and double sling swivels. Markings include Fabrique Nationale marks to left of receiver and Republica Mexicana crest/1924 to top of receiver. Stock is fitted with a steel plate rack number 65, and bottom of grip is carved with a Catholic cross flanked by two R's. Includes a brown leather sling.

Condition
Fair to good. Bore is frosty with pitting. Finish has losses, scratching, and pitting overall. Wood stock shows scratches and mars overall. Barrel band is too large and easily movable, possibly replaced at some point. Leather sling shows scratches and wear.
