Renaissance Revival style gilt bronze censer, mid 19th century, executed in the form of a lidded xylix, having a pierced lid surmounting a melon form bowl flanked by acanthus handles, rising on a cylinder plinth encircled by relief molded putti, the whole resting on a circular base terminating to mask feet, 13.5"h x 6.5"dia.
