This early & desirable Savage Model 99 lever action rifle is in very good condition displaying an old cleaning to bright of the receiver, action, adjustable rear tang mounted peep sight, trigger, lever, safety, cocking indicator, brass cartridge counter, 26" octagon barrel assembly showing approximately 45% mixed muted black blued finish & gray patina with a buckhorn rear sight (missing the elevator piece) & a fixed blade brass front sight, curved steel butt plate, misc. small parts/securing screws. The butt stock & forend are good showing scattered wear from handling, carry and storage with pleasing grain patterns. The markings are sharp, the action is crisp & the bore/rifling are fine.
