Savage Model 23D bolt action rifle, .22 Hornet cal., 24.5" barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut one-piece pistol grip stock with sling swivels, front sight removed with dovetail filled, rear sight removed with vacant dovetail, detachable magazine, clear factory markings. The rifle is topped with a Weaver side mount, rings and a Weaver J-4 fixed power rifle scope with fine wire reticle, providing bright optics. The rifle is in very good overall condition, retaining 80-90% thinning factory finish with wear at the muzzle, scratches and scrapes. The bolt handle is in the white. The bottom metal shows thinning finish with edge wear and scattered spots of light surface erosion. The stock is very good with indentations, scratches and minor bruising. The butt ends with a ribbed steel Savage "SVG" marked butt plate providing a 13.5" LOP. The bore is very good with strong rifling and the action is smooth.
