Winchester Model 70 Westerner bolt action rifle, .264 Win Mag cal., 26" barrel, blue finish, checkered walnut one-piece straight comb pistol grip stock with sling swivels, ramped steel bead blade front (missing hood) and folding rear sights, receiver is drilled and tapped with the holes filled, clear factory markings with sharp Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and front ring. Mfg in 1961, the rifle is in fine overall condition, retaining 95-96% thinning blue finish with wear at the muzzle, scratches and scattered spots of light surface erosion. The stock is fine with indentations, scratches and handling marks. The butt ends with a checkered steel butt plate with correct widow's peak at the heel, providing a 13.75" LOP. The bright bore is fine with well-defined rifling and the action functions smoothly on this desirable Model 70.
