Savage Model 1899B lever action rifle, .30-30 Win cal., 26" octagon barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece straight grip stock with Schnabel fore end, color case hardened lever and assembly, German silver knife blade front and Savage marked adjustable rear sights, rotary magazine, brass cartridge counter, clear factory markings. Mfg in 1914, the rifle is in fine condition, with the barrel retaining 98-99% of an old, quality reblued finish, the receiver retains considerable blue finish with edge wear, scratches & minor surface erosion. The stock is very good with scrapes, indentations & bruising, the worst is on the right side of the butt stock. The butt ends with a smooth, blue steel crescent butt plate providing a 13" LOP. The bore is good with moderate erosion, light scattered pitting and visible rifling. The action is smooth and locks up securely on this desirable Savage.
