Outstanding Pachmayr custom Springfield Armory Model 1903 bolt action rifle, .30-06 cal., 24" barrel, blue finish, ramped blade front and folding rear sights, receiver cut for Pedersen device, jeweled bolt, beautiful and finely checkered Claro walnut one-piece pistol grip stock with a rosewood froe end tip, grip cap with gold escutcheon and sling eyes, clear factory markings, marked, "CUSTOM MADE BY PACHMAYR L.A. CALIF. U.S.A. 'on the barrel address, sculpted bolt handle. The rifle is topped with a one-piece base, tip-off side mount and Pachmayr 4 x 40 fixed power rifle scope with fine wire reticle, providing clear, bright optics. The rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining 97-98% polished blue finish with light storage marks. The stock is near excellent with minor indentations, light scratches and handling marks. The butt ends with a black spacer and brown solid rubber recoil pad, providing a 14" LOP. The bright bore rates near excellent. The action functions smoothly and the trigger breaks cleanly on this desirable custom sporter from the famous Pachmayr Custom shop. Frank Pachmayr opened his Pachmayr Gun Works in Los Angeles in 1929, it remained in business for nearly 50 years.
