W.& C. Scott & Son single barrel sidelock trap shotgun, 12 gauge, 34" vent rib barrel, blue and color case hardened finish, ivory bead front sight, auto-ejector, finely checkered walnut two-piece straight grip stock, beavertail fore end with lever release, extended bottom tang, blank round escutcheon plate in the butt stock, clear factory markings with the right side of the barrel is maker marked, "W. & C. SCOTT & SON. MAKERS. 78 SHATFESBURY AVENUE, LONDON, ENGLAND." The left side of the barrel is retailer marked, "THE H.D. FOLSOM ARMS Co. NEW YORK." The shotgun is in fine overall condition, retaining 90-95% toning rust blue finish on the barrel with light wear at the muzzle, scratches and scattered areas of light surface erosion. The filed vent rib shows nicks and scuffs along the edges. The receiver displays considerable smoky gray color case hardening with muted color, brighter in the protected areas. The receiver shows 30-40% coverage in fine scroll and border engraving and well engraved screw heads. The stock is near excellent with minor indentations, scratches and handling marks. The buttstock displays attractive figure and mineral streaking, with a high comb. The butt ends with a ventilated rubber recoil pad, Providing a 14.5" LOP. The action functions well and locks up securely with a doll head, third bite. The bore is very good and may clean.
