L. C. Smith Olympic Trap single barrel shotgun, 12 gauge, 32" vent rib barrel, blue and color case hardened finish, auto-ejector, ivory bead front sight, checkered walnut two-piece pistol grip stock, beavertail fore end with Schabel tip, ebony grip cap, attractive figure in the buttstock, clear factory markings. Mfg in 1948, the shotgun is in near excellent overall condition, retaining 96-97% thinning blue finish with wear and scratches at the muzzle. The rib shows modest edge wear. The receiver displays significant toning original color case hardened finish with light gold embossed engraving on both sides. The trigger guard shows finish loss, drifting to gray patina. The stock is fine with sharp checkering, indentations and light scratches. The butt ends with with a red, solid rubber Decelerator pad, providing a 14" LOP. The action functions well, locking up securely. The bore is near excellent.
