This circa 1915 early highly engraved/six game panel scene Ithaca Flues Model 5-E single shot top break 30" ventilated rib barrel Improved Modified choke) shotgun is in overall very good to near fine condition as re-stocked with American Walnut hardwood. The expertly accomplished scroll engraving is throughout the receiver, trigger guard and rear left & right barrel flats. The finely detailed hunting game scene panels are present: two on the left receiver flat; two on the right receiver flat; one on the bottom of the receiver & one on the bottom of the trigger guard. The finely checkered American Walnut stock & forend display beautiful hardwood grain patterns. Unfortunately, the comb has been crudely sanded during the period of use (drop of 2") and needs to be professionally stained & re-finished to match the balance of the butt stock. The drop of the heel is 2" and the LOP is 14-1/2" including the Pachmayr red hard rubber butt pad/two spacers. The engraving & markings are sharp, the action is crisp & the bore is near fine.
