This desirable early Luger P08 "byf 41" marked semi-auto pistol with German proofs is in fine to excellent condition displaying approximatelly 97% black finish to the gun's parts (sometimes referred to as a "Black Widow" model). The checkered black two piece gutta percha type grips are fine. The markings are sharp including "41" on the forward top round of the barrel assembly above the breech; a "byf" on the top of the toggle; "1910" on the left front flat of the barrel assembly; "1910" over "m" on the front flat of the frame; "1910" over "8.82" on the underside of the barrel's round plus "10" on six small parts of the pistol. There are three Waffen proofs on the right forward flat of the barrel assembly & another proof on the right rear side of the rounded part of the barrel. There is another Waffen proof on the top rear left side of the barrel roundplus a proof on the left side forward toggle round. One of the two magazines displays two Waffen proofs plus an "FXO" and "P08" stamping all on the left side of the magazine. The action is crisp & the bore/rifling are fine. Accompanied by a black leather military flap holster in very good to fine condition with "P.08"; "joa" over "1941" and a Waffen proof at the top back of the holster. Also included is a take down tool in its pouch inside the holster's flap. Suitable for any serious public or private collection.
