This Remington Model 1903 U.S. bolt action rifle is in overall un-cleaned condition having been packed in cosmoline (presumably circa 1942). The gun's parts appear to retain their original military finish. The markings are sharp (including the barrel's "R.A." over flaming bomb over "2-42"). The stock displays an approximate 2" red paint band around that stock and the handguard with the handguard showing a lighter finish than the rest of the wood. A WW II-era Remington Model 1903 that is clearly a specialty item for the serious military collector that seeks an opportunity to have a unique piece of history for their collection.
