Ithaca Model 4-E SxS Trap shotgun, 12 gauge, 32" vent rib barrels, blue and color case hardened finish, checkered walnut two-piece pistol grip stock, beavertail fore end with Deeley/Edge lever release, blank shield style escutcheon plate in the buttstock, ebony grip cap, auto-ejectors, gold single selective trigger, tang safety, ivory bead front sight, clear factory markings. Mfg in 1928, the shotgun is in fine overall condition, retaining 95-96% toning factory finish with wear at the muzzles, scratches and edge wear along the rib. The receiver displays 60-70% original smoky gray color case hardening with brighter colors in the protected areas. The receiver shows 30-40% intricate floral engraving with waterfowl game scenes on both sides. The stock is in fine condition with indentations, scrapes and sharp checkering. The buttstock displays attractive fiddleback figure. The butt ends with a ventilated rubber recoil pad, providing a 14" LOP. The action functions smoothly, locking up securely. The bores are very good and may clean to excellent.
