This early Marlin Model No. 42 pump action 12 gauge shotgun is in very good to near fine condition displaying approximately 65% muted black blued finish to the receiver/trigger guard with the barrel assembly/loading tube showing approximately 35% muted black blued finish in protected areas with the remaining areas presenting a combination of brown patina & light gray color. The finely grained hardwood butt stock is very good with a grooved black plastic butt plate & a grooved hardwood pump handle. The markings are sharp (including a "W203001" scratched into the lower right side of the receiver & lower right side of the cartridge tube). The action is crisp & the bore is fine.
