This desirable first year of production Winchester Model 1903 pump action rifle is in overall uncleaned fair to good condition displaying approximately 75% black blued finish to the gun's parts, fixed rear sight (marked "PAT. JAN. 29. 1901") & fixed blade front sight with scattered areas of surface rust confined primarily to the muzzle end of the barrel plus a polished loading tube. The finely grained hardwood butt stock and grooved forend are good showing an old dime sized repair to the wrist area, filled in with wood putty. The markings are sharp, the action is crisp and the bore is fair with scattered erosion and visible rifling.
