PHOEBE JOSEPHINE SCHENCK, (OH/NY/CT, born 1883), Oil/Canvas, FOREST WITH RIVER, 27 inches x 21 inches, framed in wood 28 ¾ inches x 22 ¾ inches overall; signed P. J. Schenck lower right. She studied with H. G. Keller & Frederick Gottwald in Ohio, & with Frank V. Dumond, Robert Henri & William M. Chase in NY. Condition: Very good; some scattered craquelure, with NO chipping, peeling or paint loss.
