Louis Jamme (American 1913-1949) I Wish Some Fool Would Predict the End of the World. I'd Like to See If I Could Still Laugh At Him. 15 x 14.5" Ink and gouache on illustration board Marked Saturday Evening Post lower left, with Publication stamps reverse. -Jamme was a prominent cartoonist for The New Yorker, The Saturday Evening Post, Esquire, and Colliers. He attended the California School of Arts and Crafts in Oakland from 1928 to 1931. Published/ Working cartoon with marks toning and scars indicative of use and reproduction.
