Victorian-era large painted plaster figure (“Store Interior; Figure I”) of a little girl in boots with pearl buttons, white stockings, pink skirt and jacket with white trim, white shirt with lace cuffs and collar, matching bonnet. On wooden base with motor and plug. 27” high. Motor doesn’t work. Some minor wear. Near fine. From the collection of the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago. This, and the other Marshall Field's Christmas Window display lots were created by Virginia Paxson in collaboration with the legendary New York design/fabrication firm, Spaeth Design.
