“Seated Girl on Wicker Chair in Lavender Wool Dress with Ma
“Seated Girl on Wicker Chair in Lavender Wool Dress with Matching Hat” Marshall Field’s Animatronic Christmas Window Display Figure. Chicago: Marshall Field’s, 1982. Victorian-era large painted plaster figure (“Walnut Room; Figure I”) of a seated girl in black and white shoes, socks, lavender dress with pearl buttons, and matching hat. Wicker chair. On wooden base with motor and plug. 31 ½” high. Some wear, left hand apparently was holding an object with visible glue residue, chair does not completely fit on base, motor doesn’t work. Very good. From the collection of the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago. This, and the other Marshall Field's Christmas Window display lots were created by Virginia Paxson in collaboration with the legendary New York design/fabrication firm, Spaeth Design. Third party shipping required.
