[AFRICAN-AMERICANA] Group of 4 Painted Cast Iron Items, including: “Dixie Stove Company” ashtray with figurine. 4” high. Worn, soiled, oxidationed. Good. And: small coin bank of an African-American woman in kerchief. Bank is in 2 pieces, held together by a screw (all present). 3” high. Toned, oxidationed, some wear. Good. And: small coin bank of an African-American man in a hat. Bank is in 2 pieces, held together by a screw (all present). 5 ½” high. Some rubbing, some loss to paint. Very good. And: “Dinah” mechanical bank. When a lever is depressed, “Dinah’s” arm lifts a coin to her mouth, mouth opens, her eyes roll back. Bank is most likely a reproduction (unknown date). 6” high. Some rubbing. Working. Fine.
