[TOBACCO]. “Budweiser Highest Grade Granulated Cut Plug Smoking Tobacco” Pocket Tin with Sliding Door on Top. [Covington, KY: Lovel & Buffington Tobacco Co., ca. 1900s]. Very rare vintage pocket tin with original lid with small sliding door to dispense tobacco. Original label, with original tax stamp on rear. 3 ¾” high. Some wear, scuffing, soiling, oxidation. Still, a very good example of this exceedingly scarce tin. Despite the name, this was not made by Anheuser-Busch, but was issued to capitalize on their success and name recognition.
