A LARGE BLUE MOSER ART GLASS URN WITH ENAMELED LIZARDS

The urn blown in an attractive shade of blue crystal is embellished with a thick lava-like application of amber glass at the rim above a waisted neck blending to the bulbous lower portion lavishly decorated in exotic foliage depicted with considerable detail employing variegated colors of thick enamel creating large segmented leaves on woody stems.
The most dramatic elements are its two large applied glass lizards enameled to depict individual scales in three colors divided by gold outlines, creating an effect reminiscent of Chinese champleve' metalwork.
The lizards' gilded feet and tails are each embellished in multicolored enamel beading and both have red glass bead eyes.
Measures 10 x 7.5 inches.

Condition: Very good condition, noting a short, isolated stress or heat crack, center of the bulbous body near the head of one lizard. Otherwise very good, there are no cracks, repairs, chips, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
