18th century lighthouse coffeepot, Jonah Clifton, London, England, 1734-35, having bell shaped finial atop stepped domed lid, tapering body with faceted swan neck spout, and circular molded foot. The scrolled boxwood handle is old and may be original. Both handle sockets are secure and appear undisturbed. Engraved vacant strapwork cartouche on one side. Scratch engraved weight ''30=15'' under base. Fully hallmarked below rim and with Lion Passant mark inside lid. 9-3/8''h. Total approximate weight 29.4 troy oz.
