Early 19th century pair of openwork bottle coasters, Robert Hennell, London, England, 1825-26, with decorated rims, cast grapevine motif on bodies, simulated ropework banded base, turned wood bottoms, and silver bosses. The silver bosses are crested with engraved dragon heads surmounted by a crown. This pair is made of an unbendable heavy gauge silver. Fully hallmarked on edge of each base with maker's mark ''RH'', the bosses marked with lion passant. 2-1/2''h, 6-5/8''dia. Provenance: Ron Klinger, Philadelphia, PA, 1971.
