Painted wood. St. John: Height: 57", Width: 25". St. Paul: Height: 56 1/2", Width: 24". Pair of painted wood religious panels. One panel likely depicts St. John, one panel likely depicts St. Paul. Likely taken from a set of five panels of a major scene. Part of St. Paul panel has written in Latin, "semet ipsum formam servi ..." Panels are possibly from the 17th century, but unconfirmed. Provenance: Purchased from Monsignor Kern of the Holy Trinity Church in Corktown, Detroit, Michigan.
