CARTE-DE-VISITE PHOTOGRAPH of Brevet Brigadier General Jones (Jonas) Frankle.
Seated view in uniform. Photographer: Currier, Amesbury, Mass.
Initially served in the 17th Massachusetts Infantry with the rank of major. Later served as Colonel in command of the Second Massachusetts Heavy Artillery. Promoted to Brevet Brigadier General for his bravery in North Carolina operations.
