**Tangent Sighted and Slotted Inglis Contract MkI* Browning Hi Power Pistol

9mm. 4.75" barrel. SN: 5CH8927. Blued metal refinish overall with polished barrel mounting checkered black black synthetic grips, and featuring adjustable tangent rear notch and dovetailed front blade sights. Short recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by detachable double stack magazines. Backstrap features the dovetail cut for a detachable shoulder stock, and a lanyard loop is installed at the left of the butt. Left slide is marked MK. I*/BROWNING FN 9MM. HP INGLIS CANADA. Right slide and frame are both struck with Canadian {Crossed Flags} inspection markings that have been shallowly struck. Serial numbers match on the frame, slide, and barrel. Magazine is stamped JL on the forward flat and features an aluminum follower. Item has been import marked on butt KFS ATL GA. The serial number of this item, along with its long range sights and stock cut, indicate it was originally manufactured in Canada for the Republic of China. Magazine safety has been deactivated.

Condition
Good as Refinished. Bore is Bright with sharp rifling throughout and some firing residues that should clean to Very Bright. Metal finish shows some light edgewear overall with some scattered light scratches overall. Traces of brown patina forming in losses on the edges. Item shows some scattered nicks to the metal. Barrel retains polish. Grips display handling wear with some skips to the checkering. Magazine safety has been deactivated.
